Bhangra Elite

Bhangra season has started and we are looking for all those who are interested!

Tryouts will start on Monday, August 31st, in the SRC upstairs (student recreation center) at 9 PM. We may go to Ram’s Head gym on Tuesday, but we will let you know. We’ll have two days of teaching you guys a routine and practicing it. We will help until everyone has the routine down so don’t be discouraged. On Wednesday, we’ll review it a little bit and then have you tryout in groups of 2-3.

We’re excited for this upcoming year as we have quite a few on-campus shows and some competitions we will be attending.

Bhangra Elite took 2nd at NCSU’s Virsa Punjab Da 2009 bhangra competition!

Bhangra Elite performed at various campus shows and charity shows last semester along with performing at Mercer’s Rangoli competition.

Bhangra Elite will be performing for its first time on campus in the 2008-2009 year on Saturday, October 4th during parents weekend. We will perform at the Habitat for Humanity show hosted by the Senior Marshals, which will begin at 3:00 PM at Memorial Hall. We will perform again as the closing act at A Night Around the World hosted by Masala at the Great Hall, which will begin at 7:00 PM. Come out and support the new Bhangra Elite team!
